Vacancy: Tech News Writers/Sub-editors Needed In Europe, US & Australia
We are a rapidly expanding, UK-based technology publishing company seeking experienced writers to join our expanding team of freelancers and contributors, to improve the round-the-clock coverage of our flagship technology websites.
You will ideally be based within the PST, EST, GMT or EDT time zones, or be prepared to work within the hours of these regions.
You will have a deep knowledge and passion for technology and be interested in helping us cover topics like: hardware, mobile and technology, web, entertainment, security, storage, cloud computing, business, open source, networking, gaming, consumer technology, developer, operating systems and e-government.
This opportunity will offer you the chance to raise your profile via our audience of more than one and a half million unique visitors per month - particularly if you specialise within a specific area.
This position requires the production of a wide range of articles including: quick news, news analysis, news commentary and opinion-based articles, seven days a week.
Successful candidates will work remotely and will be guided by our team once they commence. We are looking for both quantity and quality, and are therefore open to both long and short article writers.
Successful applicants will:
- have excellent writing and grammar skills in English
- be able to write catchy headlines
- be able to research and suggest content ideas
- be able to use online content management systems (training will be given)
- have basic knowledge of image editing and HTML
- have practical knowledge of social media, with SEO/online marketing desirable.
- be confident with the concept of tags and tagging.
- be able to be flexible when it comes to working hours.
- be constantly available online most of the time via Skype
