Rakesh Dhall joins Net Communities
Net Communities, the publisher of technology news website
ITProPortal and also Europe’s biggest online technology advertising network, has hired Rakesh Dhall to join its expanding sales team as an account manager.
Dhall, 25, previously worked in online sales at News International on the Sun’s website. He has also worked in sales for Archant’s English Home and English Garden magazines.
At Net Communities he will operate across its complete advertising network of more than 300 owned and represented sites, which account for its 40 per cent coverage of the UK Tech market. Tech related sites in the Net Communities portfolio include Ars Technica, Anandtech, BoingBoing, DeveloperFusion, Mashable and Public Technology in addition to its own ITProPortal network of sites.
He will also work closely with Net Communities’ biggest agency clients including Carat, Zed Media, Mindshare, i-Level and Vizeum. Advertisers on the Net Communities network include Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Microsoft, Samsung and Vodafone.
Dhall says: “The great thing about Net Communities is that, as well as having market-leading sites in terms of traffic and content, we are encouraged to deliver new and innovative packages for our clients.
“Visitors to the sites on our tech network are real enthusiasts, desperate for information on what’s new. This creates terrific opportunities for brands who wish to engage with such influential communities.”
Net Communities managing director Andy Evans adds: “Rakesh is a real enthusiast for technology and gadgets and has an excellent understanding of online marketing and social media which will help him to evangelise our message to both agencies and clients. He will be working to deliver a wide range of advertising solutions from simple text links and IAB graphical through to multi-media audio and video solutions and conversational marketing.”
