James: My first month at Net Communities
My first month at Net Communities has been fascinating. I joined here as an intern shortly after tipping out of university, ready to make my mark on the real world.
After the initial induction, and the first week of discovering the ins and outs of the company I finally found my feet as part of the team, with more responsibilities, my opinion sought after and, most importantly, a place on the editorial team tea roster.
The office is a fun place to work, filled with an eclectic mix of music and the occasional arcade game sound effects. The team really made me feel welcome, encouraging me with my tasks and helping me to settle.
The work can be hard, there is pressure, but everyone is supportive and the office buzzes with activity, making work hours fly by.
The team is what makes this place work, and makes people want to work here.
