CommerceTweets.com, produced by Net Communities in association with Neo@Ogilvy for IBM’s Smarter Commerce initiative, has been nominated for this year’s B2B Marketing Award ‘Best Use of Social Media.’
The Commerce Tweets engagement project brought together curated tweets from industry experts in Commerce, Marketing and Supply Chain. As a result, social and direct site engagement flourished, which included interactive polls, videos and whitepaper downloads.
Nick Welsh, IBM UK Advertising Manager said: “The project developed an innovative social-media based solution, Commerce Tweets, which helped us (IBM) to reach a new audience in a highly engaging and interesting way. The campaign was successful in creating awareness of our new market proposition and drove record dwell times and engagement rates on the campaign landing page. It was the first time we had executed such a programme of activity; however the risk we took certainly paid off. The focus on outcomes and results as opposed to just activity alone is what sets this campaign apart from many others in the social media space.”
