(London, UK) Fast-growing online tech ad sales network Net Communities has won the UK advertising sales contract for Paris-based Best of Media Group, publisher of leading websites Tom’s Hardware, Tom’s Guide and Tom’s Games.
Best of Media group was founded in Paris as a network of high traffic tech sites by Alfred Vericel in 2000 and acquired Tom’s Hardware, a leading source of hardware and software analysis, from TG Publishing in 2007.
It has since added Tom’s Guide, which helps non-expert users, and Tom’s Games for gaming enthusiasts. It operates in 12 countries throughout Europe, the US, China and Taiwan and its complete range of sites delivers over 200 million page views from 30 million unique users each month.
Net Communities is the biggest tech ad sales network in the EMEA region and also publishes ITProPortal and a new tech news website THINQ, launched this month.
Christopher Caussin, chief operating officer of Best of Media, says: “Net Communities combines clear expertise in media selling with great knowledge of high tech advertisers.
“It has the ability to drive business in both standard media and customer integration and we see the potential to work in a trustful and transparent environment which is very important to us.
“A further benefit is that as two fast-growing companies a partnership is very logical.”
Net Communities managing director and founder Andy Evans adds: “We’re delighted to be working with Best of Media which has established itself in a short space of time as one of the world’s most respected resources for hardware news and reviews. Having represented the portfolio before its acquisition, we know the sites very well and are very pleased to be working together again.”
