Net Communities Wins ChannelFlip And Revision 3

Internet sales network Net Communities has been appointed to handle European ad sales for online TV stations ChannelFlip and Revision3.

ChannelFlip is a UK online men’s magazine channel which is currently securing record online ratings with its original production, David Mitchell’s SoapBox. Mitchell made his name as one half of the Mitchell and Webb duo from Channel 4.

David Mitchell’s SoapBox is sponsored by men’s grooming product Bulldog. Revision3 is the leading US online TV provider and its many successful shows include Diggnation and Scam School.

Online television made headlines in the US recently when household products giant Reckitt-Benckiser announced it was to switch 20 per cent of its TV budget into online TV, citing the medium’s targeting abilities and cost-effectiveness.

Net Communities managing director Andy Evans says, “While most of the sites we represent have a big quota of video these are our first two video-only TV channels.

“Revision3 is already a major player in the US and we’re convinced it will perform strongly in terms of European ad sales too.

“The UK is a little way behind the US in the penetration of online TV but it’s catching up fast and ChannelFlip is certain to be one of the leaders.

“We’re very excited to be appointed by two such exciting media companies.”

Net Communities was formed ten years ago and now represents Europe’s biggest network of tech websites. It also owns the highly successful technology news site ITProPortal.
