  • Andy Evans

    Founder & CEO

    Andy Evans has worked in the media industry since 1986. His experience spans traditional offline business and consumer press, radio and television. Andy founded Net Communities in 1999, survived the internet boom and is now the controlling shareholder in the business.
  • David Barr

    Managing Director

    David has worked in media for many years starting at VNU (Incisive) in print before joining their first digital team 15 years ago. Since then he has developed his experience through various roles from managing a major digital portal through to business partnership deals with companies such as Google, BT & Sony. He is joining Net Communities to drive their business growth forward and to learn from a business at the forefront of recognising digital innovation. Away from work he is a family man except when he is plodding marathons slowly.
  • Abtin Fanaeian

    Head of Sales

    Graduated at the University of Bournemouth in 2008 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Interactive Media and Production. Abtin was previously working as a sales account manager on behalf of BSkyB, covering the South West England. Eventually he decided to combine his passion (advertising) and business skills and landed himself a position at Net Communities. When he's not working he can be found blogging away or making regular weekend trips to Bournemouth, as he still hasn't come to terms that University days are over.

    Senior Account Manager

    Ben started in media 6 years ago, agency side and now joins Net Communities after 2 years on the P&G account at StarCom Media Vest as a Digital Activation Manager. When not working, Ben can be found running (occasionally) boxing or watching his beloved Arsenal.

    Account Manager

    Joseph came from eBay Classifieds working there as an Account Manager. He has a love for cooking and a secret obsession with comic books & films. When not watching Netflix, Joseph can be found cooking or listening to Jazz.
  • Ruth Duffy

    Account Manager

    Ruth has worked within media for the last 7 years starting in print classified at News International and moving to a more digital focus at Financial Times. She has joined Net Communities at an exciting time in the world of digital media and is looking forward to the challenges ahead.

    When not hard at work she can be found honing her acting talent, watching excellent comedy or googling Ryan Gosling.

    Sales Support Executive

    Nnenna graduated from the London Metropolitan University with a BA degree in Digital Med and comes from a music PR background with Internships with Record labels and Music PR. In her spare time Nnenna likes to listen to house music, produce and deejay, hang out with her friends and get loose at music festivals.

    James graduated from Northumbria university in 2012 with a (BA Hons) in Business with Marketing. A success story of Net Communities' Sales Internship Programme, James has developed a great understanding of digital media.

    In his free time he is a keen sports fan, and is a season ticket holder at West Ham.

    Rachel graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Film, TV and Sociology. She loves running and travelling, having explored South-East Asian, Japan and India.

    Having always been fascinated with digital media, she leapt at the chance to work in Net Communities.
  • Sean Mullarkey

    Head of Operations

    Sean’s career began in academia working for 8 years as an Organisational Research Psychologist, before switching in 1998 to the Internet Industry, specialising exclusively in online advertising. His online career has taken in roles at ZDNET, CNET, Ask Jeeves, VNU, IDG and Google. He joined Net Communities in Oct 2014. He has two children, plays guitar, might one day become an artist manager in the music industry and has a weakness for chocolate.
  • Gurpreet Sohal

    Project Manager

    Gurpreet comes from a digital advertising background, with a degree in Software systems for the arts and media and with a vast knowledgeable experience in the new media industry. Her expertise and talent range from web design, online advertising through to campaign management.

    Gurpreet is passionate about all things digital, has a love for animals, especially her dog, reading, shopping and going on holidays.

    Megan has recently relocated from Sydney to London to discover a new part of the world and join the Net Communities Ad Ops Team.
    She has worked in the online world for over 5 years now and has a degree in Business, majoring in Marketing.
    In her spare time, Megan loves enjoying time with good friends and good wine, travelling and shopping.

    Originally from Hungary, Zsofia has been working in the online business industry for two years and is passionate about her role. Having graduating with a degree in Economy majoring in Marketing, Zsofia is excited to have the opportunity to work at Net Communities. In her free time, Zsofia enjoys exploring the city with friends and having fun.

    Previously working for Microsoft in a series of marketing and sales roles and with a 1st Class BA (Hons.) in Business Management with Leadership and Innovation, Ben brings a results and process driven approach to publisher management at Net Communities.

    Marketing & Partnership Executive

    Fabi just recently moved to the UK from Brazil and has been loving life in London. She graduated at Universidade de Brasilia with a degree in Business Administration and has since worked at Groupon and in the hospitality sector in the Marketing department.
    She is excited for the new challenges she will face in her future at Net Communities as she’s always had a big interest in all things digital.

    When not at work, Fabi likes spending time with friends, cooking and shopping.

    Mateusz graduated at Jagiellonian University in Krakow with a degree in Computer Science. He is fascinated by new technologies, he likes to continuously enhance his knowledge of them.

    Mateusz is passionate about travelling, he always plans to go to new destinations in his spare time. He loves to get to know new places, cultures and cuisine.

    After graduating with a degree in Graphic Design at the University of Lincoln, Ruth put her career on hold to live and work in Hong Kong for six months. Upon her return to the UK, Ruth moved to bustling London and has worked in different areas of design until she landed a Designer role at Net Communities.

    When not working, Ruth is often taking too many photos of her cat, drinking coffee, blogging and working on personal projects.

    Office Manager & PA to the MD

    Nicki is the Net Communities Office Manager. She is challenged daily with the task of organising and keeping the office tidy and in good working order. When she is not at work she likes nothing better than a glass of wine with friends.
  • Robert Keogh

    Finance Director

    Rob brings to Net Communities financial best practises and strategies from his ten years' experience within the media and entertainment sectors. His remit includes improving management information, financial controls and growing the company's profitability.

    Away from work Rob enjoys football, cricket, cycling and spreadsheets.

    Management Accountant

    After graduating from the London School of Economics in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, Lex trained as an auditor working closely with creative, communications and consulting clients.

    Since deciding to go digital, he’s teleported to the world of online advertising. Tasked with assisting the Finance Director run a tight ship at Net Communities, he plays a key role in managing the finances.

    When not geeking out in the business world, Lex he can often be found nose deep in a book, puzzling over a thrilling game of chess, or scheming up secret creative projects.

    Previously worked in Recruitment and Investment Management. Married to the boss. Mother of 2 wonderful children.
  • Miles Bulloch

    Associate Publisher

    After having graduated with a BSc Honours degree in Property Management and Investment, Miles has since worked as a surveyor in the licensed and leisure sector, working closely with “the big three” in the outdoor advertising market. Wanting to put a greater emphasis on marketing and having a desire to work in an industry that indulges his passion for technology, he was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity with Net Communities. In his spare time you'll find Miles trying to stay healthy by optimistically entering himself for marathons; following the progress of tech companies on the stock market; and amusing himself with Adobe’s Creative Suite.

    Consultant Editorial Director

    Ben Chai has worked in the media industry since 1981 where he began as a broadcaster and press officer for Radio Wey. Since then Ben has been the editor for a variety of magazines in technology, education and dance, written several books and training manuals in the tech industry and presented several television programs on security.

    Ben and Andy (CEO) have worked together for over twenty years and Ben was instrumental in the early years of Net Communities. His consultative role now is to provide strategic and commercial insight to the publishing teams across our in-house portfolio.
  • Aatif Sulleyman

    ITProPortal Writer

    After graduating from the University of Warwick with a degree in Classical Civilisation to his name, Aatif made the move from the wild north to London, joining ITProPortal in late 2012. Aside from smartphones, he is particularly interested in cloud and wearable devices and always keeps an inquisitive eye out for major business developments in the technology world. Blackburn Rovers will always have a place in his heart.
  • Wayne Scott

    Consultant Multimedia Producer

    Wayne Scott, studied advanced sound engineering and has background in audio and video studio hardware and software, he works behind the scenes and as a presenter / interviewer / recording artist / remix producer and club DJ, winning a coveted award for Radio Presenter of the Year within community radio in 2007. Now a specialist in online audio and video, including presenting and producing podcasts for Top Gear Live, Wayne is our consultative Multimedia Producer.

    Having spent three years juggling an English Literature degree with writing articles on video games and anything that looks like it came from an episode of Star Trek, Alysia is still fascinated by technology and joined the ITProPortal team as a Staff Writer.

    This is just as well, because her skills at waxing lyrical about smartphones and spelling Japanese software developer names without checking Wikipedia are pretty much non-transferable.

    Paul graduated from the University of Warwick in 2011 and spent most of the next year living in Sri Lanka teaching English. He also worked in a volunteer bookshop in Santorini, but got back from his travels in time to do the Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia. He rode out the financial crisis there, doing internships and placements at literary magazines, whilst also working as an archivist and freelance book reviewer.

    After graduating with a Management & Organisational Innovation MSc from Queen Mary University of London, Tom was editor of a music website. He brings his interest in business history and innovation strategies to ITProPortal, along with a love of challenging and creative journalism. He’s a recent iPhone convert and will happily tell you all about the experience.
    Away from the multi-coloured décor of the office, Tom teaches English, reviews gigs and chooses his beer wisely.
