Net Communities was founded in 1999 by its CEO Andy Evans (aka @DigitalAndy) at a time when online advertising spend was practically non-existent in the UK. The company is privately owned, with the majority share held by the founder. Net Communities has seen most success since 2008, when Evans implemented a management buyout. Since then the business has grown to circa 40 staff, with strong revenues to match and continues to grow at an exceptional rate.
